Specialty Marketing Intern

Job Description

The ​Specialty Marketing Intern position at Southern Veterinary Partners​ (SVP) is a ​part-time role designed for individuals pursuing a degree in marketing or a related field. This individual will gain a strong foundation and working knowledge of the business-to-business (B2B) market model, working alongside the SVP Specialty Marketing team. The intern will assist the ​Specialty Marketing Team with various marketing functions, ​especially in areas in building new referral data contacts which serve as the engine to establishing and growing new specialty markets for SVP. This individual will be exposed to all aspects of the specialty marketing program, while serving a critical primary function to create new market referral databases for strategic growth.  This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rapidly growing organization, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • The intern will assist the ​Specialty Marketing Team ​with data sourcing and contact data management to support B2B referral marketing supporting Specialty Hospitals 
  • Work closely with the Director of ​Specialty Marketing and Marketing Business Partners​ to build a referral data networks across multiple new growth markets
  • Create new B2B referral contact lists that support new specialty market and demand generation and growth 
  • Learn and apply processes to source critical contact data in a systematic, high-quality method
  • ​Leverage multiple channels to source data, including digital channels, events and trade shows, trade associations, and existing CRM lists
  • ​Coordinate directly with stakeholders across multiple veterinary specialties (cardiology, dentistry/oral surgery, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and mobile imaging) 
  • ​Support and leverage marketing automation systems (such as Hubspot and Salesforce) to ensure proper input and management of CRM contacts
  • Support planning and preparati​on for a variety of specialty marketing programs
  • Help distribute marketing materials to the ​specialty referral communities and collect feedback/input
  • Provide support with ServiceNow requests​, as needed
  • Assist in other miscellaneous capacities where support is needed

 

Qualifications

  • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or equivalent field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with teammates at all levels and positions
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a passion for marketing
